To configure your Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extender, you need to follow the following steps.

Steps to Configure Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extender

In order to configure your Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extender, make sure you have an existing Wi-Fi network which you want to extend the range of. The network name and the wireless password will also be required compulsorily. Along with that, carry a Wi-Fi capable device with you to check if the range of the Wi-Fi has actually extended or not.

Step 1:

Plug in the Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extender into a power outlet to switch the device on. Make sure that the power outlet is within the range of your existing Wi-Fi signals since that is what will be extended further.

Step 2:

This is the step where your Wi-Fi capable device comes into play. Locate and connect to the belkin.setup network to begin with the process in the first place.

If you are not able to see the network, you might just need to reset the extender. You can reset the extender by pressing the reset button physically for around 10 seconds. That is what is needed for it to reset and start again freshly.

Step 3:

Launch any browser in your Wi-Fi capable device and enter “belkin.range” in the address bar. After you have entered the address, click on “go”. The alternative to this is http://192.168.206.1 which also allows you to access the web-based setup page.

Step 4:

A page will open and an option called “get started” will be available to you in the very first page. Tap on that option and it will start searching for your router’s SSID.

Step 5:

The wireless network that you want to extend should be clicked by you henceforth. After you have selected it, click on next.

Step 6:

They will prompt you to enter the password of your wireless network, enter it and click on next. Wait for the setup to check and authenticate your password for some obvious reasons.

Step 7:

Review the extended network information and then click on edit if any information is there which you need to change. If not, just tap the create extended network button. This will end up the configuration and you can enjoy the extended range of your Wi-Fi henceforth.
