Beneath the cover of the bracket that is facing the interior lens, there are six small lights which are infrared in nature. These lights are called the VERs or Infrared Illuminators. They provide infrared light which helps to record videos in low light conditions. The lights can only be seens when they are lit and this is possible oy with the hell of Brown wire. Follow the steps below to check whether the brown wire is working or not.
- Turn on the key to the vehicle Ignition and keep it in the Switched-On position.
- Look carefully for the six red lights situated beneath the cover.
- Now, turn the key and keep it in Off position. The six infrared red lights should also go out.
- If the above observations have been made then the brown wire has been successfully installed with the Drivecam Camera.
