NETGEAR offers one of the best range of innovative DSL routers and modem routers. They are used for both offices and homes and are quite reliable. They provide a steady and strong Wi-Fi signal to the now developed homes having multiple IOT devices which need such Wi-Fi network. The Netgear DSL modems are modern routers and are compatible with any DSL service provider. NETGEAR has a wife range of such DSL routers. If you are having trouble with logging in through routerlogin.net 192.168.0.1 you need to change the settings of your router. For accessing routerlogin.net or 192.168.0.1 , you must be connected to your Router’s Wi-Fi network. Modern NETGEAR DSL modem router can be configured by using the NETGEAR genie user interface.
Follow the steps given below, to configure your router for internet connection using NETGEAR genie :
1◆ First, connect the phone line to the DSL port of NETGEAR DSL modem router via a DSL Microfilter. Then, contect your computer to any of the LAN ports of router using an Ethernet cable. Now, provide power to your DSL modem through a power supply. Wait for some time to let the router boot up.
2◆ For accessing routerlogin.net or 192.168.0.1 , open any internet browser. The browser will itself take you to the NETGEAR Genie setup screen. If not, manually enter routerlogin.net or 192.168.0.1
3◆ On the popup screen, choose YES for NETGEAR genie and then click on NEXT to continue.
4◆ NETGEAR genie will ask for country. Enter your country and then click on NEXT.
5◆ NETGEAR genie will then detect the type of internet connection. This may take a while.
6◆ Now, enter your username and password to login. The internet will be detected as PPPoE/PPPoA. After entering login details, click on NEXT to continue
7◆ Now, NETGEAR genie will successfully connect you to the internet. On completion, click on ‘Take me to the internet’, to verify your internet connection.
8◆ In case, this process fails, the only possible reason is you have forgot username and password. Contact your internet service provider for this.
Remember, this process is only suitable for modern NETGEAR DSL routers. If you have a cable internet connection, this process won’t help you. And if you have older routers, it is better to opt for Smart Wizard interface.
